Spring Volunteer Campaign 2025
In the joyful atmosphere of the coming spring, on January 15, 2025, the Department of Oriental Studies, in collaboration with the Korean Studies Club and the Japanese Studies Club, organized the "Kick-off Ceremony for the Spring Volunteer Campaign 2025." The event aimed to spread the spirit of sharing, solidarity, and a wish to bring a complete and happy spring to those in need.
This special moment marked the beginning of a meaningful journey, affirming the proactive spirit of youth. The Spring Volunteer soldiers donned vibrant spring uniforms, determined to bring a spring full of happiness to Trà Vinh.
Stage 2 - Welcome Ceremony for Spring Volunteer Campaign Soldiers, Department of Oriental Studies - Văn Hiến University
After transporting supplies to the gathering point, the soldiers attended the Welcome Ceremony at the Thanh Mỹ Commune People's Committee Hall. The solemn ceremony concluded successfully. At the event, Ms. Lê Thị Dễ, Vice Chairwoman of Thanh Mỹ Commune People's Committee, delivered a motivational speech to the soldiers.
Stage 3 - Planting Trees, Collecting Trash, and Clearing Roads
Soldiers from the Department of Oriental Studies - Văn Hiến University gathered in Thanh Mỹ Commune, Châu Thành District, Trà Vinh Province, to clean up litter and clear roads in the commune's villages. Additionally, they planted flowers along both sides of the road near Thanh Mỹ B Primary School, contributing to a greener environment to welcome the new spring.
Stage 4 - Children's Activities
In the festive Tet atmosphere, the Department of Oriental Studies - Văn Hiến University organized children’s activities within the framework of the Spring Volunteer Campaign 2025. The event was vibrant and exciting, capturing the interest of the children. It not only provided them with fun and educational moments but also contributed to their development through intellectual and sports games.
Stage 5 - Spring Volunteer Campaign Gala Night 2025
On the evening of January 16, 2025, the "Gala Night" program was held by the Department of Oriental Studies - Văn Hiến University, in collaboration with Thanh Mỹ Commune Youth Union, as part of the Spring Volunteer Campaign 2025 in Trà Vinh. The lively event featured various activities. The Department of Oriental Studies presented 50 Tet gifts, including red envelopes and school supplies, as well as 20 Tet gifts for policy families, comprising red envelopes and essential items.
Stage 6 - Youth Project "Green Reading Corner"
This spring, at Thanh Mỹ B Primary School, a small corner came alive with a love for books and the spirit of volunteerism. The youth project "Green Reading Corner" created a cozy, welcoming space for children who love books. Thanks to the efforts of the Spring Volunteer soldiers from the Department of Oriental Studies - Văn Hiến University, the corner was decorated in two days with recycled tires transformed into charming tables and walls painted in bright colors. Additional items included two fans, a wooden cabinet adorned with small recycled plastic bottle planters.
Final Stage - Closing Ceremony of Spring Volunteer Campaign 2025
On January 17, 2025, the soldiers attended the closing ceremony of the Spring Volunteer Campaign 2025, reflecting on a meaningful journey by Văn Hiến University - Department of Oriental Studies in Trà Vinh Province. Throughout the campaign, vibrant activities included the donation of the "Green Reading Corner," 50 Tet gifts for underprivileged children, 20 Tet gifts for policy families, and a successful gala night.
At the ceremony, Thanh Mỹ Commune Youth Union representatives presented certificates of appreciation to the soldiers and expressed sincere gratitude for their enthusiastic participation. The campaign organizers also expressed their thanks to Thanh Mỹ Commune leaders for their support, offering a commemorative gift from the Department of Oriental Studies. The ceremony marked the conclusion of the Spring Volunteer Campaign 2025, a brief but impactful two-day, one-night event. The organizing committee received much love from the children and residents, hoping to return in the future.
