On October 19, 2024, in the HEC101 Meeting Room at HungHau Campus, Van Hien University, the Board of the Faculty of Oriental Studies met with representatives from the Takasago Education Group in Japan.
The meeting was attended by leaders from both sides. Representing Van Hien University were Dr. Vo Minh Hung, Permanent Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Oriental Studies; Ms. Doan Thi Thanh Thao, Deputy Manager of the Scientific Management & International Cooperation Department; and Dr. Hirano Ayaka, Head of the Japanese Language Program, Faculty of Oriental Studies. Representing the Takasago Group were Mr. Maekawa Idemitsu, Director of Infomart Company; Ms. Hayashi Hiroko, Head of CMS Development WORLD COMPANY; and Ms. Nguyen Viet Ha, Director of Kennet Consulting Company.

Dr. Vo Minh Hung welcomed the delegation and expressed enthusiasm for potential cooperation between the two institutions. This could include internship programs for students, scholarship programs, scholar and student exchange programs, workshops, seminars, and discussions on Japanese festivals and culture, as well as Japanese business culture in both online and offline formats. He also proposed various language and cultural exchange programs and additional opportunities for students from both sides.

Mr. Maekawa Idemitsu, on behalf of the Takasago Education Group, briefly introduced his organization. He conveyed a keen interest in Van Hien University, particularly after Dr. Ayaka's presentation on the Japanese Language Program and Dr. Vo Minh Hung's insights. He expressed a desire to collaborate with the Department of East Asian Studies, which could lead to the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU). He noted that the Group could immediately begin organizing workshops, seminars, short-term training, student internships, and teaching activities. Ms. Doan Thi Thanh Thao expressed hope for collaboration in developing an internship program for students in Japan.
The working session took place in a joyful and friendly atmosphere. This meeting is expected to serve as a foundation for further cooperation between Van Hien University and the Takasago Education Group, fostering comprehensive and effective development in the future.
