Introduction to the Program
The International Relations program is a comprehensive study of various fields within the relations between countries and territories worldwide. Alongside fundamental knowledge in politics, economics, and socio-cultural aspects, which help students understand, analyze, and evaluate international relations phenomena and issues, the program also provides courses and programs to enhance professional skills in various fields. This prepares students to become global citizens, adaptable to the rapid changes of the 4.0 revolution era.
Curriculum Content
The curriculum is designed with an applied-oriented approach, focusing on skills needed to work in foreign relations and international communication sectors within domestic and international enterprises and organizations.
With two specializations: 1. Foreign Affairs - International Cooperation, 2. International Communication; students are provided with comprehensive knowledge in various fields, from politics and economics to culture and society. Associated skill modules in the program such as Diplomacy, International Negotiation; Organization Spokesperson, International News Analysis and Commentary; Event Management in Communication, Journalism profession and International Communication, will enhance students' analytical thinking, issue recognition, and necessary skills for the job market.
In addition to skills development, the International Relations program at Van Hien University emphasizes the attainment of English proficiency equivalent to level C1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR), and provides opportunities for students to study a second foreign language such as Japanese, Korean, or Chinese. Furthermore, the program enhances practical experience through domestic and international internships, as well as student exchange programs with universities worldwide.
With this academic program, students have the potential to become individuals with extensive knowledge, proficient skills, and strong foreign language proficiency, enabling them to effectively work across various industries and adapt to the changes in the professional environment amidst the fourth industrial revolution.
The standard training duration is 4 years with 134 credits, and students can opt for a 3-year program with 9 semesters to graduate early.
