Academic Forum 2025 – Joint International Conference and Capstone Design Program
In the spirit of international academic collaboration, Van Hien University is honored to co-host the event “Academic Forum 2025 – Joint International Conference and Capstone Design Program” in partnership with Jeonbuk National University (South Korea). The event will take place from August 16 to August 19, 2025, serving as a valuable opportunity for faculty members, scholars, and students from both institutions to engage in academic exchange, share knowledge, and participate in meaningful research and creative activities.
Part 1: Joint International Conference
The opening ceremony will be held on August 16 at the Tran Hung Dao Hall – Van Hien University, featuring the academic theme: Entangled Histories and Shared Cultural Memories between Korea and Vietnam.

At the conference, faculty members from Van Hien University and graduate students from Jeonbuk National University will present significant academic papers, offering fresh perspectives on the intertwined historical and cultural relationship between the two nations.

Part 2: Capstone Design Program
Taking place over two days, August 17–18, the Capstone Design Program is a highlight of the event. International student teams are divided by research theme, including:

Architecture: Traditional Houses Group, Religious Architecture Group

Cuisine: Culinary Culture Group, Famous Eateries Group

Clothing: School Uniforms Group, Traditional Attire Group

Culture: Folk Games Group, K-pop Group
-
Customs and Beliefs: Folk Practices Group, Superstition Group
Each group consists of 1–2 graduate students from Jeonbuk National University and 4–5 students from Van Hien University, working collaboratively to explore, analyze, and deliver a presentation on their selected topic.

Closing Ceremony and Awards Presentation
On August 19, at Hunghau Campus – Room HEC706, the student groups will present their research outcomes before the academic panel. With fairness and thoughtful evaluation from the judges representing both universities, the program successfully identified the well-deserved winners of the following awards:

The event “Academic Forum 2025 – Joint International Conference and Capstone Design Program” not only strengthened the friendship between Vietnam and South Korea, but also created valuable opportunities for Van Hien University students to access international knowledge, enhance their research capabilities, and develop academic skills in a multicultural environment.
