WORKSHOP: STUDENT EXCHANGE, TRANSFER STUDY IN SOUTH KOREA

On January 18, 2024, at Tran Hung Dao Auditorium (HungHau Campus), Faculty of Oriental Studies - Van Hien University organized a workshop on student exchange and transfer study in South Korea under the theme: "South Korea - Realizing Dreams". The workshop aims to disseminate the university's regulations regarding student exchange and transfer study abroad programs, while also sharing experiences and opportunities for learning, living, and cultural experiences. The goal is to assist students in realizing their dreams of studying in South Korea.

In recent years, Van Hien University in general, and the Faculty of Oriental Studies in particular, have continuously strengthened their collaboration with universities in South Korea such as Busan University of Foreign Studies, Kyngnam University, Kwangju University, Jeonbuk University, as well as numerous other universities worldwide. The aim is to enhance cooperative relationships and provide students with enriching academic experiences in an international setting.

At the workshop, Ms. Chenh Cao Ngoc Linh - Deputy Head of Faculty of Oriental Studies, along with faculty members from the Korean Studies Department (who are either Korean or have studied in Korea) presented specific details and addressed concerns for students, including an overview of the training programs, student registration procedures, academic exchange programs, cultural exchanges, and collaborations with universities in South Korea, helping students gain a better understanding of the various forms of studying in Korea and make more suitable choices for their future endeavors.

Furthermore, students had the opportunity to meet with alumni and current students from Faculty of Oriental Studies who have either participated or are about to participate in study exchange programs at leading universities in South Korea. They shared their learning journeys in the "Land of Kimchi" regarding culture, knowledge, soft skills, and study techniques during their exchange student experiences in Korea.

Congratulations on the successful completion of the workshop. We extend our best wishes to all students aspiring to set foot in the beautiful country of South Korea. May you prepare a solid foundation towards your goal of becoming exchange students with a comprehensive knowledge base, skills, and admirable qualities within the framework of international education.
